\nCity of Newcastle is making\u00a0<\/span>it easier for\u00a0<\/span>the community<\/span>\u00a0to access m<\/span>ore than 1,000 grant<\/span>\u00a0funding opportunities<\/span>\u00a0through a<\/span>\u00a0new\u00a0<\/span>online service<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0Newcastle Grant Finder<\/span>.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n
\nNewcastle Grant Finder<\/span>\u00a0provides a comprehensive\u00a0<\/span>listing of<\/span>\u00a0funding opportunities available to<\/span>\u00a0local businesses, comm<\/span>unity groups,\u00a0<\/span>sporting\u00a0<\/span>clubs<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>not-for-profits and individuals<\/span>.<\/span>

\nNewcastle Grant Finder<\/span>\u00a0identifies<\/span>\u00a0funding opportunities<\/span>\u00a0in the area<\/span>\u00a0from State and Federal governments and agencies<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0not just those<\/span>\u00a0provided by<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0City of\u00a0<\/span>Newcastle<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>presenting<\/span>\u00a0a one-stop-search tool<\/span>\u00a0with<\/span>\u00a0self-serv<\/span>ice<\/span>\u00a0functionality<\/span>\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0users to\u00a0<\/span>track,\u00a0<\/span>bundle,\u00a0<\/span>sav<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0and creat<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0alerts.<\/span>
\nNewcastle Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes said Newcastle Grant Finder is a first-of-its-kind in Newcastle and will see more funding flow to worthy causes as part of City of Newcastle\u2019s digital transformation to make its services more efficient and effective for the community.
\n\u201cGrant funding is a great way to help build a thriving community here in Newcastle,\u201d Cr Nelmes said.
\n\u201cWe\u2019re empowering local businesses, community groups, sporting clubs and not-for-profit organisations with a tool that allows them to easily find and apply for grants, to turn their ideas into reality.”\n<\/div>\n
\nCouncillor Peta Winney-<\/span>Baartz<\/span><\/span>\u00a0said<\/span>\u00a0Newcastle Grant Finder<\/span>\u00a0will assist community organisations in all areas of the application process.\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cUntil now, members of our community have experienced frustrations identifying grant funding, finding it an arduous task having to conduct searches across numerous websites, often resulting in missed opportunities,<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0Cr Winney-<\/span>Baartz<\/span>\u00a0said.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/div>\n

\nMaryland<\/span>\u00a0F<\/span>letcher F<\/span>ootball Club<\/span>\u00a0vice-president<\/span>\u00a0Tom Marshall said\u00a0<\/span>the new online service would assist\u00a0<\/span>local\u00a0<\/span>sporting clubs<\/span>\u00a0with<\/span>\u00a0find<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0grant funding opportunities<\/span>\u00a0to maintain their facilities<\/span>.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cWe<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0like many sporting clubs<\/span>\u00a0in the area<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0are always looking for\u00a0<\/span>additional funding<\/span>\u00a0to maintain o<\/span>r\u00a0<\/span>improve our\u00a0<\/span>facilities\u00a0<\/span>to increase participation\u00a0<\/span>in the game\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>do our bit in building stronger communities through football.\u201d<\/span>\n<\/div>\n
